[ There's the sound of someone's shoes hitting wet pavement. In a few seconds it's joined by dozens more feet on the same wet pavement. In the background is a consistent hiss indicating that it's still raining. ]

...No signal.

[ The loudest of the footfalls stops. ]

Excuse me. Could you spare a second?

[ A few seconds pass. ]

Rita identified it as hers, yes.

And Lightning said she was in yours.

It has to be some sort of trick.

If we could just figure out how to return to the City, and perhaps correct the paths taken...

If it's an illusion, then the trick is to see through it. If we were actually transported elsewhere, then I'd imagine there has to be some way out.
