I'd say that your argument holds more weight to me than it did before.
Being in a dream this long isn't impossible considering the sedation and how deep we went. The idea that everyone here is a projection, however, I'm willing to question. I still think it's possible, but I'm starting to entertain the idea of something else being at work here. A dream that follows a different set of rules than we're used to, maybe.

And if not that, then this would all be real, wouldn't it? We'd all have to accept the idea that there's other worlds out there where superhuman abilities are the norm and so on.
Eames suggested the idea of the deities being architects themselves. Except somehow they've made it so that only they can manipulate this dream. It's an interesting theory even if there's a good amount of evidence to cast it in doubt. For one, I don't know how the rules could be different. Maybe some new kind of compound I've never heard of. Unlikely, but not entirely impossible.
Having an imagination like yours helps when it comes to understanding this place, I think. I just can't bring myself to take the idea of it being real seriously. Yet at the same time I know I shouldn't entirely rule out the possibility.
In this case, they wouldn't be projections. We'd be the subjects and they'd be the dreamers.
There are people after me and Cobb. There's no way any of them were on the plane, though. As for Eames, well, he's wanted in more places than I'm willing to name in one breath.
How... How can we trapped by our own minds? It's not like they're pointing a gun at us and saying we can't go. They're directly manipulating us, who we are.
And I'm pretty sure my mind's a lot more stable than this.

Do you still think this place could be real?

Why would the rules be different?

Maybe that's why I'm willing to believe this place could be real.

Even Mal didn't have that much power.

Having an explanation's better than nothing. But everything's a guess at this point.

I'm not a fan of working on just guesswork.
