I know some of the City's residents have been here for at least a year or two, so I figured I may as well ask. Unfortunately, even if we know what's happened before, that won't necessarily prepare us for what's to come.

That's what I was thinking from the beginning. The more people that are informed, the higher the chance that the effects of any future curse that pop up can be mitigated. Even if it's only a little.
