two posts in one hour does not bode well.

I can't sit on this fic any longer, so here goes! Posted because cercaluna wanted me to. :"> Fic for the movie In Good Company. Carter is played by Topher Grace, the cutest thing ever. Alex is played by Scarlett Johansson.

Carter/Alex, and, uh, Jude Law is not so sneakily worked in here. What. 5 things that could have or might have or did happen to Carter Duryea. )

Oh, Susan.

You put your face in your hands and feel your fingers shake.

You never cry and you never pity yourself, and what would be poured into that coalesces into a fist of determination somewhere deep in you; desperate and hungry and pounding, a constant kind of pain.

Fs;aldkfj Carter!

You've never been anything other than alone and you only understand what that means when you're twenty six and at the top of your world.

Later, when he kisses you, not clumsy at all, you curl your fingers around the edge of the table. You want to say, been doing this much?, but don't. You think, a little distantly, that this is the best and worst thing that you've ever done.

The fingers! And the thought and the best and worst thing and oh.

You can get there, at least. It's not so bad.

OMG Carter. OMG you. And the title and the way it works and the way it is and, the pocket of hurt, and the running track, and yes. The ending felt a little bit rushed to me at first, but the last two sentences just made it. *memories* You are fabulous, you know that. ♥.

CARTER KILLS ME. I know he's supposed to be the star of some light-hearted romantic romp, or whatever, but it's so sad! I was all, :(((( baby why is your life so hard. Which, uh, explains the fic writing.

The bit about never crying actually came from an interview of his, where Topher said that he basically never cried, ever. I had a little moment of :-" Yeah.

I hope you appreciated the crazy attempt to unite Jude Law RPS with this movie. What was I thinking. ... (Also, have you seen this? *dies laughing*)

You are wonderful. :x This fic is all for you, darling. And, guess what? I just finished another Diego/Gael ficlet, except it's 1,500+ words. I blame this all on you, in the best possible way. Y

Lighthearted romantic romp, whatever. It was so sad! And I don't know how to explain this to anybody, but there's this certain kind of movie that I think of in greens and pale light, like Scarlett Johansson, like Garden State and In Good Company, do you know what I mean? Closer a bit, and a bit Lost In Translation. It is like this pale sort of feeling. I have no idea how to translate this into language, but that's how I feel about In Good Company.

Oh Topher! And as for the link, fa;sldkfja! OMG. Celebrity RPS = ♥. It almost makes me want to do something like the establishment on journalfen or whatnot, which I do not follow but know vaguely about. DIEGO/GAEL. >:D< SO SO GREAT.

P.S. Even a tiny little bit about Wimbledon, although that was definitely lighthearted romantic romp. Have you seen it? It reminded me of you because of the tennis. :D

I was getting all weepy and my mom was like, that was such a cute movie! Me: :| :| :| BUT CARTER. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IT'S CUTE. I might be slightly obsessive. Honestly, though! He had no proper family! He's just lonely! And, oh, I know what you mean - the quiet sort of movie, maybe. The kind of feeling you get. In Good Company was so bittersweet and, oh man, just. The ending was so open ended, sort of ambiguously hopeful, I guess.

Augh. I saw Topher in Traffic the other day and did a complete double take. Have you seen Ocean's 12! He's hysterical in it. I have no qualms about RPS, it's tragic. ;;) Diego/Gael is eating my brain. And it's so sappy, oh my god, where did the angst go? Where?

I love our 875 threads. :)) I haven't seen Wimbledon yet, I really wanted to but never got around to it, despite the urging of Thess' icons. :>

Bittersweet, yes! It is like the whole jaded-but-hopeful feel. I love that.

I have not seen Oceans 12 but probably will eventually. Ahaha, I have lost all qualms about RPS too. Am so excited about Diego/Gael, really! You should rent Wimbledon, I enjoyed it, all the tennis! And! Britain!

PS: STOP MAKING ME WANT TO WRITE RPS. >:D<

Ocean's 12 is really in joke-y and stylish and hot. Which is to say, see it! Or download it, same thing. :D! Tennis + Britain = awesome, so I probably will :-?

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. DON'T EVEN RESIST.
