THIS is why I love fandom. Because it's ridiculous and fantastic and brilliant and crazy and so. Much. FUN.
Happy 48th birthday Doctor Who and many thanks and happy returns to the cast and crew that have brought us this incredible adventure from the very beginning.
Some may say it's just a TV show-and a fictional one at that-but to me it's a reminder that, for all the stupid things we humans do, we can be tenacious and funny and intelligent and compassionate and just... yeah, pretty awesome.
And maybe when aliens do come someday, they'll be amused by us like the Doctor, not annoyed like all the others, and we just might make some new friends instead of causing an intergalatic war.
Or both, but, hey. Friends. \o/\o/
May your scarves never unravel, your celery never wilt, your jelly babies never go stale, your hair never fall flat, your chameleon circuit never be repaired, and your bowties never go out of fashion, Doctor, and may we never stop waiting for that beautiful blue box of yours to appear in our humble gardens. ♥
