BPAL SAYS: Polished metallic notes, glossy leather, frankincense, star anise, and thin lubricating oils.
IN THE BOTTLE: Resinous leather and polished metal.
WET ON SKIN: Mainly frankincense. Not as intense as in Penitence, but still quite sharp.
DRYDOWN: Still frankincense, but with a spice note beneath it; probably the anise. I don't smell the leather at all.
DRY: The sharpness of the frankincense has faded, leaving a spicy, cinnamon note in it's place. If there is leather in this, I can't smell it at all.
OVERALL: I don't really get the metallics or the leather others have reported. On me, it's all frankincense and anise. Nice, but not something I'd buy a 5ML of.
