I still have a big grin on my face today after yesterday's ride. And my sore muscles remind me of it every time I move too :P Of course, the best thing for sore muscles is more of what made them sore. Hrm... more riding? I think I can handle that :D
I managed to get the bike out of the barn on Friday evening. Oh, that was fun. I had to turn it around on a roughtly 6' span of the center walk. The problem was a mat centered on the walk that I had to back up over. Unfortunately, my legs aren't quite long enough to give me the necessary thrust to back up over obstacles. Things got easier when I moved that blasted mat out of my way. I looked like I was drunk riding up the road, though. *wobble**wobble**weave**weave* However, I did manage to get it into the garage without any mishaps.
Did some minor maintenance Sunday. Changed my air filter and pumped my tires up to the correct pressure. I also got the grab rails off the rear so I can put my shiny new saddlebags on. I wanted to do an oil change, but I ended up with 2 filters for
darph_bobo's bike and none for mine. Grrr... Of course this means a trip to NA Warhorse again for parts (and bike oggling :)
We did get in a short ride in the afternoon though. I didn't do too badly considering it's been about 5 months (and I looked like a proverbial drunken sailor on Friday.) My throttle control is not as sharp and I need to work on not leaning on my hands again. My turns weren't bad and I was pleased that I could lean farily well. So in other words, I'm rusty, rusty, rusty :P
