OK, for those interested, here are pictures of the quilt that I purchased at the Kutztown Festival.
Here it is! This is the major pattern, IIRC it's called "Texas Lone Star". The blocks on the outer edges also have a name but I can't recall what pattern that is. I love the colors; it's a very neutral quilt, but still has color to brighten things up. There were a great many green quilts this year, so I think I was meant to buy one of them :)
This is a closeup of the corner pattern. I almost bought a quilt that was entirely this pattern, but with slightly different colors. In the end, I liked the multiple patterns better. For a reference, the blocks are only about 2" square.
This is a shot of the top pattern. This is the side that goes towards your pillows. It's not very visible in the first shot since this is a king-sized quilt and I only have a full-sized bed right now.
This is shot of the edge and corner. I love the contrast binding and the scalloped edge is more distintive than just a flat one. Notice the stitching in the corner? It says "RS 2007"; the initials of the person who made my quilt and the year.
Here's a closeup of some of the stitching details around the star. All of those tiny little stitches...
...are frankly just incredible. This is a closeup of the stitch detail that's under the small stars at the top of the quilt.
A closeup of the stitching in between the small stars at the top of the quilt.
And finally, this certificate and cleaning instructions come with every quilt.
I still can't belive I have one of those beautiful quilts in my home :)
