Summary: Soubi watches as Ritsuka sleeps.
Maybe it was wrong for Soubi to be there, perched at the end of Ritsuka’s bed while the small boy slept soundly, but there were so many things about Soubi that were wrong anyway… He smiled as the boy’s nose twitched and he turned over, tangled in a mess of sheets and blankets.
Soubi knew that if he ever woke up, ever caught him sitting there and simply gazing, Ritsuka would be angry. Soubi also knew that he wouldn’t do a thing about it. If he cared that much, he wouldn’t leave his window unlocked.
He had the urge to lay next to him, to hold Ritsuka in his arms and simply exist with him, but he knew that was something that would not come for a while. Ritsuka had to come to terms with his own feelings, and he knew that the boy would eventually come around to him. It satisfied him. It wasn’t what he wanted, but it was enough to keep him content.
After all, love could wait forever.
