I have Watchmen in a paper form, w00t! I was going to wait until I finished Casino Royale, but I don't know if I have the will for that. I also have Oz n' James' wine romp and The Three Doctors because I think that is potentially more cracktastic than The Five Doctors. It's so worth it for Jon Pertwee's bad ass jiu jitsu.
In other news, I now captain an RP I've been wanting to make for sometime. As far back as last summer I've been wanting an RP for OC superheroes. With the release of Watchmen on the big screen, I think there may now be a market for this kind of RP. So please check us out if you're interested in superheroes living alongside humans and that sort of genre. At the moment we're VERY, very new so it doesn't look like we have much activity. Truth is we don't have many members yet so that's where you come in. Join up, tell your friends, get them to join up. Please? Baby Rorschach would want you to. The year is 2009 and there are superheroes among us. Not only that, there are a lot of them. They're on the streets, keeping them free of crime, and New Carthage City is the cleanest it's been in years, save for South New Carthage, but we don't talk about that…
New Carthage City, Indiana is a town currently defended by a crack team of supers (and the odd civilian) known as the "Saints". At least, the Northwest is; nobody's allowed to go into the South without express permission of Mr. Lancaster, head of the Lancaster Group. Mr. Lancaster has a not so secret weapon over the government of New Carthage, and it's the only thing stopping the Saints from sweeping in and deposing him. All he wants is to be left alone, and the government is only too happy to oblige (assuming certain "perks" are acknowledged, of course).
This leaves the rest of the population in a difficult position--do you tolerate the corruption like the government is? Or do you fight it with any means at your disposal? For the ones who chose to fight, there's prime real estate in the East. All you've gotta do is get yourself a secret identity and prepare to leave the law behind. You've already done that? Good. Welcome to
NEW CARTHAGE CITY
We’re a brand new RP for people who always wished they had super powers. Or if they just wanted to play a character with them. Or if they just want to try out a new RP because they’re bored and have nothing better to do. This game contains elements of the films/novels Watchmen, and Sin City and features “supers” living side by side with humans. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t always go smoothly.
If you like dark themes coupled with guys and girls in spandex, come give us a try. We’re an adult game, so the minimum age requirement is 17. Don’t let that put you off though; we’re a friendly bunch. Come have a look around, see what you think.
