12 costumes for myself and two for Zak for a grand total of 14 costumes. I think that might be a record.

(Starting from top Left)
Maka Albarn from Soul Eater
Soul Eater from Soul Eater
Asmodeus from Umineko
Rose Tyler from Doctor Who  (<antieden  we need to wear this again)
Nia Teppelin from Gurren Lagann
Eclair from Kiddy Grade
Bluma from Dragon Ball
Serah Farron from Final Fantasy XIII
Snow from Final Fantasy XIII
Zhen Ji from Dynasty Warriors 6
Nia Teppelin from Gurren Lagann
Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier
Rei from High School of the Dead
Yoko from Gurren Lagann Parallel Works

Cons Attended:
ALA, AOD, Fanime, AX and SNAFU con.

Most Difficult:
Zhen Ji.  There was no way I could have attempted this costume any earlier then I did.  I used almost every skill I have learn up to that point and of course learned many new ones.  Including (but not limited to) gradient dying, Chinese knot tying, dying feathers and more.  This was a very challenging costume to re-create in all aspects.  NOTHING was easy about this costumes.

Easiest Costume:
Rose Tyler since everything was purchased or pre-owned.  lol.  However easiest costume to construct was Rei from HOTD.

Most Hated:
It's hard to hate something you put so much time, love, and money to.  I love everything I made this year.  The only one I want to re-work is my Maka.  Mainly the coat.

Most Loved:
I would have to say Zhen Ji.  There was just so much put into that costume in every way possible.  Nessa and I competed in WCS in these so it holds a special place just because of that.  I was so proud of myself on how this costume came out; every part came out how imagined it to which is no easy task.  I set a very high bar for myself and it was a personal victory completing this costume.  It's also one of the only costumes where I do feel pretty and regal in.

Most Worn:
Hmm that is a tie between Zhen Ji, Serah, Asmodeus and Eclair.  Each were worn twice, however I wish to wear all these again a couple more times even if its for a photoshoot.

Most expensive:
Zhen Ji hands down.  Fabric, feathers, dye, wig, lace, crystals this costume added up to quite a bit.  I bought the stuff over the course of about 4 months and it still feels like I spent an ass load on this costume (probably because I did).  I don't even want to start thinking about how much it costed otherwise I might be angry with myself!

Cheapest:
Yoko or Rose.  I purchased only the jacket for Rose.  However, Yoko I had everything for aside from paint for my staff.  I guess then Yoko was the cheapest!

Best cosplay memory of the year:
It's hard to say since there isn't one particular "best" moment I recall.  This year was a big roll coaster year for me in terms of cosplay.  Lots of let downs and moments where I felt like a failure.  Even considered quitting the community altogether a few months ago.  But there were a few high points that are a little more personal to me that reminded me why I DO love doing this hobby.  All my happy memories this year in regards to cosplay are equal and I cherish them all.

Thank you to all those that I had the wonderful opportunity to cosplay with.  Thank for thinking of me and including me in your cosplay adventures.  I hope 2011 will bring more fun filled groups, cons and of course ROOM PARTIES.

xoxo,
Mel
