Odd little plot bunny

I've had this plot bunny not really hopping but definitely twitching its whiskers. It's not exactly a time travel story, but it's one that involves a bit of time manipulation. Today, I got a chance to work on it. The idea really needs work. The basic idea is okay, I think. It's mapping out a story from this weird little idea that's a wee bit difficult.

And I thought the Summoning of Thunder Afterwards tag was tough. This one is trying to kick my butt.
