(no subject)
Alright. So this will be my personal journal (yes, most of us know I have Ophelia for my more secular, public-y journal) for venturing into my life and Christianity. I'm fairly new to Christianity, and as such, I'm overcoming the usual obstacles of navigating through the Bible and figuring out what all of this means. I've also got a few added problems- my entire family is either athiest or agnostic, and while some accept Christianity as an acceptable religion (o_O) some of them..well...don't (even bigger o_O). Also, I don't attend Church(it's rather difficult when you can't drive just yet and don't have your family with you..or anyone really) and I'm not part of a youth group anymore. I've tried both and never felt as though I fitted in with what was going on...they all seemed to know one another really well and didn't really accept outsiders/newcomers...plus I didn't know anyone, and I didn't have one member of my family nor one friend to help me through. Going to church for the first time was a difficult experience for those reasons, and it turned me away from God for a while, but I'm now asking again for His forgiveness and a chance to renew my relationship that's been tucked away in storage. So if anyone out there has any suggestions on how to navigate through the Bible or simply how to deal with my family, I'd love to hear them!
