HALF-HALF-HALF-TERM
Not much of it mind you, I'm going in to college tomorrow morning till early afternoon to try and get a few things finished. But the past few days have been nothing but self-indulgence.
After staying behind a little after my college ending time on friday, I instantly whisked my super-super-
zappin away to St Helens were we went out for lunch! We returned to my house after a small shopping session. After lazing around for a good few hours, we forced our bums on to the internet to google image random breeds of dogs and cats. It only ended in us discovering
this amazing mobile phone accessory site. I'm embarrassed to say I ended up spending £15, and
zappin spending around £20. But, so many pretty things!
Saturday I was in work and was paid a random visit from
son_link and his almighty bodyguard Martin~! After work I
re-treated my hair. I cut it some time last week and re-dyed it (supposedly dark brown and pink; although it turned out black and red.) I re-treated the pink and now it LOOKS pink at least... at times. I also gave myself a
manicure as my hands were in desperate need of it. For the past three weeks, I have been producing print after print after print; producing something around forty-eight in the last two days alone. Doesn't sound much but the amount of elbow-grease involved and time consumed is extremely tiring. I basically ended up washing my hands around 10 times a-day to get the ink off them, with basic soap or washing-up liquid leaving them dry and cracked T^T; They still are now~ *treats-treats with hand cream*
Sunday, I stayed in bed till a stupid hour in the afternoon and did nothing all day!
Today was another day of retail therapy however. I seem to be spending an awful lot of money on clothes. I had previously bought last week
a top from Dorothy Perkins as well as new jeans and another top from New Look. But upon discovering last month that
Yes Asia have a FASHION SECTION called
Yes Style, I've found it hard to control myself. Over the weekend, I bought myself a
spring jacket and a
jumper. I was planning on buying more but a jumper I had previously wanted was no longer available~
Today, I also bought
some new boots! along with some cute-cute-
boy shorts and another
spring jacket. I really think that is all I will buy now until the summer! At least, I have something nice to wear for my interviews; there is something about new clothes that brings you a sense of confidence!
Not sure how much I have have touched on this subject. I think a few know of my plans already. I aim to attend Camberwell School of Arts in London. I've not yet applied (I'm saving it for First Choice, Route B) but, I'm getting nervous. Out of 120/130 people who applied there for illustration last year, only 20/30 got in. I'm hoping that I will be a lucky one. Route B opened up today, but I will be waiting till I get back to college to apply.
In the mean time, I'm getting my interview dates for my Route A applications. It involves a busy-busy month for me in March!
1st March: Herefordshire Interview
2nd March: Kent Interview
7th March: Camberwell Open Day
10th March: Westminister Open Day (for
zappin18th March: MUCC Concert
I'm still waiting for a reply from Portsmouth, they still haven't given me an interview date yet! I'm starting to wonder if I should contact them or not. I'm starting to stress about my portfolio and my interviews. Although my heart is not entirely set on my Route A applications, I need to try my best in each just in case Camberwell do not accept me. I'm worried about being scrutinised on the spot, and not knowing what to say about a certain piece, or forgetting the name of an artist. Hopefully, my Route A applications will open me up and prepare me well for Camberwell.
So through March, I'll be spending the majority of the month in London with
zappin, hopefully staying at his uncle's apartment, mostly around the 28th Feb - 11th March, and then back again for MUCC on the 17th - 19th.
Super-Super-Post!
