Woohoo!

School starts tomorrow! I'm so excited, I ordered all of my books, and I have never been more ready to go. There's this really sad, yet great feeling inside of me that enjoys shopping for my books. This semester, I'm taking 5 classes, which are:

1. English in Literature
2. Humanities
3. Introduction to Music
4. Geography (physical)
5. Philosophy of Religion

Talk about full schedule...Monday/ Wednesday I have English and Philosophy, while Tuesday and Thursday I have the other 3 classes. There's a 3 hour difference between English and Philosophy, while there's a 10 minute difference between Humanities and Music, and an hour difference between Music and Geology. Fortunatley ARC is a semi-small campus, so If I just run, I can not only get exercise, but get to my class!
Like I said I bought all of my book. 10 fucking books. What the hell? 5 of those books? All Humanities. I don't mind though, because it gives me so much joy buying all of my books on Amazon. I don't think I'll ever buy a book at the bookstore, unless it's some bizarre book the the professor himself/herself wrote and I am unable to find it online. Ok, here is the prices:

Buying all necessary books USED at the Bookstore: $386
Buying all necessary books NEW at the Bookstore: $490
Buying all necessary books ONLINE at Amazon: $145

Gee, which route do you think I should take? The answer, is quite obvious. While i get a BOG waiver for the admission, I don't get it for my books, but it would be nice. They told me I need to be poorer. How is this possible? I don't work, we live off of one income, and have a $935 rent every month. But noooo, they go off of Gross yearly income. Stupid Financial Aid and FAFSA people don't take into account that people have bills they need to pay, like cable, internet, food, car payment, rent/mortgage... Grr...oh well, I have no room to bitch, because without the assistance, I would have one hell of a time affording school right now.

So! list of books! I already kind know what I'm taking next semester...I HAVE to take a math class, and a foreign language class. I technically could take French 2, but I took French one years ago and ditched most of the class labs for Chai Tea and Bagels. Ahh, good times. So, I'll probably end up taking Spanish, because it's the most useful of the languages, and if I get really good, i could get a bi-lingual job, because places are always looking for bi-lingual people, and they make more money!

I have to read the following books:

English: God Bless you, Mr. Rosewater; The Norton Intro to Literature
Philosophy: Philosophy of Religion
Humanities: The Invention of Love; The Odyssey; Poem of the Cid; Theban Plays; The Inferno
Music: Listening to Music
Geology: Geosystems

Insane, I know. I have to admit, I am excited though. I miss school, and the pressure, and working really hard to achieve my career. Well, I'll keep you up to date! I think I'm gonna go to Wal*Mart and buy new pens and school supplies I really don't need, but new stuff is so nice :D
