Musical Dissapointment

So, I've been waiting 3 years and it's finally here! Yup, that's right! The new Evanescence albun "The Open Door." I was so excited, and I opened it, and put it in my car and started to listen to it. I first thought "ok, a little diffrent, but not bad." I continued listening and then I realized something...they sound a lot like Lacuna Coil...and I listened some more and they had that PJ Harvey sound to them....remember PJ Harvey?         Yeah, probably not. It came to the point where I was skipping the song because this album was the opposite of the last. The last one went a little like this: "rar pain, so sad, funky feelings, fuck you"
This one is a lot more "random....shitty sounding song...what the fuck is she saying?! random random"
Its really hard to understand what she's singing most of the time and doesn't have the beauty in her voice like she normally did to begin with. All in all, its a vast amount of shit. I'm really dissapointed, especially in the stupid voice effects to make it sound "cool." it made it sound worse...a lot more random lengths of music with no pattern, and to make it worse, most of her songs don't even have words. I mean...it's just random whiney noised that just get so irritating you say "ok...enough already" and change the song. To top it all off, every song sounds the same to me. I kept wondering as I listened when the song was gonna end. And I hoped for it, and it's a sad day indeed when I get a brand new cd, actually buy a brand new cd, and am this dissapointed with it. It makes me realize why I test cd to beggin with, weather it be borrowing, or downloading and song or two. ARRRGGHH!............................................................ ...................................................................................................................
So in other news...I bought the new Killers album as well. I was very impressed with the first one, and the second one is pretty good so far. Also to release an album I must get: Jet and Weird Al.
I think aside from the Evanescence let down, its been a good month for cd's. I'm just hoping Evanescence plays a bunch of their old stuff at the concert I'm gonna  be going to.
