(no subject)
haven't posted in a good long while. last one that described anything was in 2008 and halloween. crazy
so basically like this: faux t-giving was good, it was the first one where people drank but it wasn't out of control or anything. Good times were had by most. I say most because I wasn't really playing host so much this time as much as enjoying the party myself for once which is great.
Then Dec 6th rolled around for a gaymer meet up at a bar called Barcade (thing a bar with very old arcade games lining the walls) which was fun like usual, I always have a good time at them sober or not and this time Long Island iced teas made it even more fun. Met a boy named Rob and his two lesbians. The four of us had to help each other get away from the clutches of a incredibly creepy/skeevy guy who asked the four of us individually if he could move in/make a porno to pay the rent/other things that I shall censor. We spent a lot of the night passing him off to each other like a baton, except the baton had herpes and you really wanted to get rid of it. I guess in a race involving a baton you usually want to get rid of it anyway, so the herpes metaphor wasn't needed.
After Vance and his new (at the time) boyfriend Ken and I left the bar the rest of the night was spent getting home via the blasted L train which was having maintenance so it ruined our lives. Time was passed by counting bumps on the floor and explaining the monty hall problem to strangers (while drunk of course).
a few days later Rob and I started messaging each other, and then we went on a date in the city and it was really good =] Hes 21 and a design student from NYIT and the sweetest guy ever. It was near x-mas time when he came over my house and we got each other gifts. I got him Amy Sedaris' book I like you and he got me David Sedaris' book When you are engulfed in flames which is an amazing book and I highly recommend it. He also brought a gift for my mom which makes him a keeper and pretty much the sweetest guy ever
New Years rolls around and I had a few people over my house, nothing too big just a few peeps over (including Rob) for a quiet new year. At midnight I asked Rob if he'd go steady with me and he said yes and then we even made it facebook official the next morning :D we're so homosexual. At one point the christmas tree fell over and it took four drunk boys to put it back up. I don't know how I didn't fall off the chair but I somehow managed.
Since New Years not much has gone on - just hanging out, haven't seen Rob as much as I would like because hes been sick :( but we went to this really great bar called Jake's dilemma, really nice and really non-expensive. I've been awful with the diet thing which I was so great at before but thats the holidays for you. I'll get back on track one of these days mark my words. I just need to start again...
I also quit wow because I hate it, I'm very happy about this although it isn't like i'll spend the time I would've been playing wow with anything productive, there are always other games to fill the void.
