Kakashi will get his hands on rope. Even if he has to twist it himself. From the hair on his back. Dammit, Kakashi-the-pirate-AU, go away! I have a paper to write!

I also cracked up so hard people were wondering why I was laughing when kakashi came out covered with whtie sunscreen so you couldn't' see his tatoos.

The snifter was classier than any drink Iruka would have expected Kakashi to order. At least, it was until it caught fire.
That line cracked me up.
Also? guh. Think I melted. Well done. :)

I find the idea of zinc sunscreen being more dignified than sunburn hilarious. Handy for preventing people from seeing all those tattoos, too.
Inquiring minds want to know: So did Kakashi and Iruka ever talk about Iruka being Other? Because Iruka doesn't seem to mind when Kakashi calls him a red-eyed boy.

I had it vaguely planned that the lead-up to the Voo-Doo Wars was going to catch the boys on vacation and the Wars themselves would get kind of merged with the Nine-Tailed Fox/Uchica massacre backstory (they are all kind of pale and dramatic, but Sasuke as a vampire might be an irredemably bad idea, re: the level of brooding and angst even the internet will countenance). There was going to be some running around in the jungle, but then I was going to have to figure out the Voo-Doo Wars in at least general outline, and that's probably what ultimately bogged it down.
At this point, Iruka and Kakashi have not talked about it, although they're both more or less on the same page. They'd have to have a discussion somewhere in all the projected bushwhacking, just for practical reasons. But mainly I figure the secret villages have a different attitude towards the Others. I mean, they're all concealing themselves from the world ( ... )
