Quelle Week! (whatta week)
Heeey everyone (that consists of 2 people maybe!)
This has been quite a week! I live to tell it! Well on Monday I was thinking this will be a calm week, I walk into homeroom to see my buddy Matt writing on the board to go talk to Mrs. Souder if you want to help out with holiday decorations for student council. I love doing anything for student council because I love it so much!! So I went over and Mrs. Souder forgot about decorations! lol she was kinda baffled she was like "oh you're so good, you can be chairperson!" so I was like ok great! So I went to homerooms to get people to sign up!! I went to the sophomores, they were clueless and not a single soul signed up to help! Then I went to seniors and I did get some people, then juniors and well I got Dan Gardenier...I didn't even think he would help but he actually did! So I signed up Megan and Tija because I thought they would and they did and so did Hoda. Anyway so Tija and I sorted through what student council had for decorations and cleaned up the broken ornamenents and such. I started getting so many ideas, I wanted it to look so great especially since I was chairperson and student council is a big group and I didn't want it to be represented as crap!! A major plus, was that we have outside of the auditorium which is a great place to work with! I got home and started doing comp homework which was a vocab analysis but it was so hard!! I couldn't find anything and my comp was being so messed up I wanted to cry! ah I mean it was hard enough finding all the root/affix meanings, my comp didn't need to be mean as well!! Well Tuesday I scrambled for help on my comp homework and Tija and I decided to ask Uncle Metty, well I get up to start walking in which my water bottle begins to spill all over my khakis pants!! So that didn't look pleasant at all, wouldn't be so terrible if I had jeans on! Oh well I ran to class it dried eventually. We stayed after school to go to Ames and look so for some stuff to buy. We bought some fake snow and a big giant candy cane (which a lot of other clubs had too surprisingly!). So we started wrapping beads and and fake evergreen garland around the banister, as well as lights around the auditorium doors. I had to get home anyway to go to Dock Woods for choir, and it was my sister's birthday. So I got home and started rushing to get ready, I had to iron my skirt which was a hassle and my dad and I couldn't figure out which building to go in, we finally did, and well it was interesting, the stage was incredibly small and in the first piece was sang I swore I heard people laughing because they screwed up and that annoyed me, plus the person behind me was like "oh I have to get home and watch gilmore girls" and she was siging incredibly off tune in my ear which was so aggravating. I came in Wednesday morning to see the lights around the auditorium had fallen so i just took them off and the beads got messed up, so I fixed that. I went to look for the other people in my commitee but I couldn't find any of the seniors, I asked a girl in the hall if she was one of the girls and she wasn't! oops! Mrs. Souder got our real tree but it wasn't put in the stand yet because it was too tall! I stayed after school again and Megan stayed with me, and I thought it would look so pretty to put white lights on the evergreen garland on the banister, so we started weaving that and I had no idea that would be such a hassle!!! There was no light plug on my side (how ridiculous!) so we connected them and swung them over to Megan's side, then I started realizing we were weaving them wrong, so we took them out and did it again, Megan was kinda getting angry so I told her I'd do her side, we didn't have an extension cord so we couldn't plug them in. Megan had to go, so it was just me weaving lights basically! Some kept breaking too!! I brought replacements but they were purple! Thespian society was decorating our hallway the same day, which made me feel absolutely awful that I could not assist with that, since I was in charge of student council decorations. I gave them some decorations that I had intended to use for youth 2 youth's hallway. Dan was helping them which was fine. He eventually came to help me and we hung an evergreen garland over the auditorium doors (which are tall by the way!) with some push pins and added some lights to that, which looked quite lovely. It was getting late well 5:30 and Dan had to go, he didn't even help me clean up! LoL oh well, so I dragged all the boxes and junk to Mrs. Souder's room and I felt awful too because Mrs. Kershetsky saw me decorating the lobby alone and she assumed I was doing it for Thespian Society, which she is in charge of, I felt like Benedict Arnold or something! So tomorrow would be Thursday and I still had to decorate the tree, and do all the other stuff I had wanted to do! So I decided to take home a bunch of paint and brushes and paper rolls from Mrs. Souder's room, and I went home. When I got home I immediately started painting. Well I wanted us to have a snow scene like a "winter wonderland" on one side of the lobby and a christmasy santa scene on the other side, because "Santa & Me" is up in our area and it has to look nice for the pictures w/Santa and Elves and the kiddies. So I began painting a winter scene in which I realize that the white container of paint I brought home WAS NOT white!!!! ah it was actually black!! LoL ok that was annoying b/c I didn't know what to do, so I started painting evergreen trees. I played some Christmas music, and I was doing ok, I had a chemistry test to study for in which I needed to do well on! and a health paper to write. My sister came down in the basement (where I was painting this) asking me to go to the store with her, I said if she went to get me white paint, but of course I had to go (man this entry must be incredibly boring, I apologize) so I went and we stopped at the dollar store and I got all excited I found some holly and snow pinecones and I picked up a garland of beads for Student Council's Christmas tree and one for Youth 2 Youth, also I bought two blue garlands for the winter scene and some glittery snowflakes. Then I bought white paint at Wal*Mart (gotta love the * in Wal*Mart) and paint for the windows to look like snow. I got home to paint and started painting and the snow looked grayish since I was painting it on black paper but it still looked half decent and I was trying to be in a good mood with my mariah christmas music on. I started paiting snowflakes on the paper that looked pretty nice, I was so calm and it made me feel good to be paiting again I use to do so much art painting and drawing but I haven't done it in awhile and it was just so nice. Well I finally finished that, and the paper seemed so huge in my basement I was hoping it'd be a good size for the lobby walls. I began to paint a chimney for the santa scene and it turned out pretty good I was just getting so annoyed because it was getting late and I hadn't done any of my other homework. Well I finished at about 12:30 so I typed up my health paper really quick and didn't even bother to study for the health test (which I would regret later) and attempted to study for chemistry but I had US Reading to do, so I finally made it to bed at about 1ish. The next day I was kinda dragging Mrs. Sieracki yelled at me a couple times too. It was a mess bringing in everything in the morning but I did make it (I still don't know how). After school I had a thespian meeting and they were still decorating and I still couldn't help them so I felt just as bad. At 3:30 I rushed over to the lobby and found that Megan had finished the lights around the banister, see I was stupid and we still screwed them up because the plug wasn't on our side so we had to unstring them and do it again! Such a mess! Well Dan was helping Thespian Society which was nice, but it kinda annoyed me b/c there were more people helping them and it was just me, b/c megan had to go and he wasn't helping. And, the garland over the auditorium had fallen! So I needed his help with that!! I had the janitors telling me all this stuff I could do, but most of it was what I couldn't do!! "No tape on the paint, nothing on the domes, no stapling, only pins on the walls, no tape or anything on the cylinders, but you can tie garland around it! " ay carumba. I thought some other people from my committee were staying too but none of them showed. So I hung up the chimney and winter scene which were half decent and lit the lights around the banister which looked beautiful and pleased me. I hung up some garlands and a 34th St sign I had made as well as a Santa Claus Mailbox I made, and some bells and the holly and pine cones and presents under the tree. Dan came eventually and we fixed the garland over the auditorium which I really hope does not fall again!!! He didn't stay long. So I decorated the tree by myself, we aren't allowed to use lights b/c our tree is real and they're afraid of fire! How lame. I love the smell of a real tree so that made me happy since I was alone. Thespian Society finished, and Mike had to stay for a band rehearsal so he helped me out by hanging mistletoe, I was so proud of the way I thought to hang it (use a hanger) it worked!! I hope it doesn't fall!! The janitor, Frank (I came to know many janitors from my after-school experiences) set up the Santa stage w/a leather chair on it, which looked nice except for the rip in the seat! Well Mike had to go, and he broke a glass ball so I had to clean that up b/c "he was afraid of glass" well its not like i'm in love w/it either! LoL so basically I added some things there and that and finished at 7 in which I had to head down to youth 2 youth to decorate. So I did that until 8:30 and went home and started writing names on a white roll of paper to make it like a Santa's list w/naughty & nice people on it from student council so people knew it was our hallway. I didn't get to bed until 1 again, I wanted sleep so bad! When I came in Friday I was so happy to see that everything was still in tact! I hung the list which Mrs. Souder thought was cute and she said she really liked what I had done. I felt so happy to be finished and it was nice to see people observing what I had done. We had another chemistry quiz and I took notes back to the lab i don't even know why I did that and Mrs. Sieracki thought I was cheating which I was not! Everything turned out ok though in the end, I went to stay after to help decorate for Cultural Awareness but they didn't do much and didn't need me. So time to go home, I was so extremely exhausted I fell asleep. Today I had my own little ER marathon ( I love that show!) and I got some Sleep!! yay! so i'm better, but I do have to read a book and write a report still and guess what I haven't done? Decorated our house! LoL i'm so decorated out!!! This has been quite a week, I just hope nothing falls and no one is mean and messes with anything!! I get to help judge other hallways since it was a contest although student council isn't part of the judging since we judge which stinks since I spent so much time doing it, but I still think it looks beautiful and classy.
