Life with 3 kittens and 1 adult cat
Not going too well because I feel like I'm taking care of a baby. I guess I can think of this as training. Man, I have mad respect for parents for being able to do this every darn day.
So, long story short. My parents were told by the landlord that they had to get rid of the cats because they were "destroying the neighbor's plants." This hella pissed off my dad and has made my mom really sad. The neighbors had never caught the cats at the act but they assume it's OUR cats doing it. However, parents were not supposed to have cats in the first place so yeahhh...
My mom and brother dropped the kittens off. Could tell that she really didn't want to part from them. I can imagine it being very hard for me too when I drop them off. I try to imagine myself dropping them off everytime as mental preparation so when it happens I won't cry like the big baby that I am. I still remember the day when I left Toiletface at my parents', fearing that they won't watch over him and that neighbors will torture him.
So the plan is to move Penelo (momcat), Toiletface (dadcat), and the three kittens (Lucky Wehwoh, Nature's Best Goldfish, and Meowfgar the Black[ie]) to Cat Alley in Salinas, CA in two weeks. I wish I can send them to Caboodle Ranch in FL but the trip is too far and is pretty much impossible for the cuties. It's gonna be way too hard to find them a home ASAP and Jon and I don't have time to wait for them to get adopted--living with 4 cats in a studio when you're only supposed to have 1 cat is pretty insane.
Also, sending them to the shelters is out of the question because if they don't get adopted in time I know these cats get put to sleep. I rather have my cats stray around. The world may hate me but I ain't letting that happen.
Few cute things/stories that have happened since kittens arrived:
1) Kittens like to run into the closet mirror door
2) Kittens have decided to poop in Bossu's (my permanent cat) litterbox
3) Bossu has been whining all night
4) Lucky Wehwoh likes to hide from Jon
5) Meowfgar sleeps with me and likes to nuzzle me. He is also not afraid of me and Jon
6) Goldfish is pretty much Bossu version 2.0
7) Royal Rumble matches happened on the blue sleeping bag. Still happens on and off
8) After the kittens snack, there's always a line for Bossu's litterbox.
9) Wehwoh claws carpet! Thank god I cut her nails
10) All the kittens are fond of the string I tied onto the chair! Hooray for free toy!
11) Meowfgar bites my stockings.
