Today the bitch took off. Lori tied her up in the back using a "girl-knot" and she toodloo'd. Friggin cone, collar, leash and all! That's right, cone. As mentioned in Tuesdays' entry she was at the vet and is the proud owner of a head cone until next Friday. Lori thinks it depresses her, but I just think it makes her walk funny. she really does a big wiggle now so she can eyeball left and right with each step.
So she walked funny for a couple blocks and some jerk phoned the pound even though her phone number is on her collar. $80 later and now I'm fully law-abiding cause my senile dog has a license for the first time in her 12 years. Man, and I had to impose on a friend cause my car is laid up right now. Normally Darryl happily does anything for a friend, but he was really busy at the time. Of course then he won't say "no" even if I say "don't sweat it I'll figure something else out". What a pal! He luvs Chess too though, so I knew he'd call back!
