Not so much 'Zombie Menace'...
...as 'Zombie Nuisance'.
A couple of nights ago I dreamed that the Zombies were rising to devour the city, but for some reason weren't doing it in hoardes and waves as is the usual zombie tactic. They were showing up two or three at a time...in my basement.
I didn't dream through entire days, though there were about a week and half's worth of mornings. The household waking up, making coffee and dealing with the zombies. At one point I remember taking the banister from the first to second floor stairs off of the wall and carrying it into the basement stairway so I wouldn't have to bother with actually going all the way downstairs to kill off one morning's batch of undead.
Near the end of the dream the risen dead in the basement were a sighing matter.
Sigh, "More zombies. Should we call someone about it or just keep clearing them out?"
"Who would we call to report that we have an undead problem?"
"Oh, I dunno. I'm just tired of having to slay them every morning to get to the dryer."
