Yesterday and Today

Laa... I will spare you all my shopping babble and inanity but judiciously using a cut. Don't you love me? *chugs soda*

So I woke up early yesterday because me and the maternal unit planned on going shopping. There is much in the way of sales, even though it's not Thanksgiving yet, and mummy dearest wanted to get a leg up on Xmas shopping. And she wanted to change decorations and place settings for Thanksgiving, since we're having family over. Paternal unit decided to come, too, which I wasn't too pleased with. He hates shopping, and gets all "grr" over it, and then gets cranky and wants to go home. Total killjoy on the shopping mood, you know?

We went to Linens and Things first (remember, maternal unit wanted home decor), and there were sales and discounts EVERYWHERE. OMG, why have I never been in this store before? They had a bunch of nifty things, including what they called "Cooking 101" sets. They're basically a box with everything you need to do a certain thing, and tells you how to do it. Like Cookies 101 (came with cookie sheets and cutters), or French Fries 101 (comes with potato slicer, fryer, etc.), or Barbeque 101 (a whole slew of BBQ tools). They're so awesome! Dad picked up Fajitas 101 as a gift, and we got Panini 101 for ourselves. Or maybe it will be a gift. Who knows? It was a good buy, too, since the stuff inside is quality cooking tools, and cast irons things. Very heavy!

Mom got her tablecloths and runners and new chargers to put under the plates (the ones we have are gold and she wanted red for Turkey Day). A bunch of miscellaneous things went into the cart, including a... chocolate fondue fountain. We're using that for the holidays. >_>;; Bweheheheheh. I wanted to get this nifty bar mixer set, but decided not to. Mom signed up for a card from the store (so we'd get 20% off our first purchase), and I wandered the store and found the massage chairs in the back. ♥ I think I might go back there to pick up Xmas gifts, or part of Xmas gifts.

After that we went to Best Buy (and made my dad haul all the heavy stuff to the SUV). We were looking for the ink and paper to go with the new photo printer we have, that goes with mom's new digital camera. It takes a special kind of paper and ink, and though we found some finally, the paper was to make your photos postcards. I guess it could've worked, but we just wanted regular 5x7 photos, thanks. I also expressed my interests in a Nintendo DS, though I shouldn't, since playing games will probably steal my soul or something. Also showed my mom the iPods, since she's expressed an interest in one. I told her not to swallow the new Shuffle. XP We happened to run into a neighbor boy there, too. He must think we're stalking him or something, because wherever he works, we end up going there to shop. It was sorta embarassing, because he totally looks different from what I remember. Of course, my last good memories of him were when we were little and played together, so. Bleh. Dad oggled the plasma HD TVs. The 60 inch one was so HUGE.

From Best Buy we went to Circuit City, since that was where we bought mom's camera in the first place. We figured they, at least, would have the photo paper and ink. They didn't. All out. *shakes fist at them* But I did manage to pick up Norton Internet Security 2007. Yes, yes, I know Norton is a memory hog, but it comes with a $20 rebate, so the price was good enough. Plus, I can install it on three computers, so the home comp and Shukaku are covered for a year. ^^ That's good enough for me. I'm going to install it today, once I read the rebate thingy and see what's needed. I know I have to take a screenshot of SOMETHING.

After that was the Mo Val Mall, and food. And more shopping. Whee. Victoria's Secret was visited (mom has an Angel's Card and coupon things for free gifts) and we had to ponder what we saw and swing by the store again to make final decisions. Also visited... Macy's and JC Penney, since mom was salivating over some jewelry that's got double discounts on it. She didn't make any decisions, but whatever she doesn't buy, my dad will probably get her for Xmas. Then window shopping and back to Victoria's Secret, where we bought a bunch of stuff (mostly to pad the price so mom could get the free bag set). I got this cute hoodie/tank/pants set, and those nifty tank tops with bras built in them. I love shirts like that. And I can wear them comfortably because I lack boobs. Yay. 8D

And then we went home, but I bought Dipping Dots ice cream since we walked past the store on our way out. XD;; I love the banana split flavor. It's so good and cold and creamy when it melts. Oh! We also stopped at the BX, because mom needed some more stuff on sale. And I bought powder because it's cheaper there than at the mall.

THEN we finally got back home and I crashed and went midless for a bit. Yay. A full and fulfilling day all around.

shopping, food, shopping is my therapy, babble, rl
