So, guess who nearly passed out today? I'll give you three chances and the first two don't count. 8D
Had to go out shopping today with the parental units for the outfits for the Trecenians party thingy, which is next Sunday. It's formal, so me and mom needed dresses, and dad needed a new suit (since he's the President and me and mom don't want to look nice and have him looking bad; it's embarassing).
Went to Tyler (I love malls yay) and they happen to have a formal dress store, for women to get wedding gowns and braidesmaids dresses and prom dresses and stuff like that. Me and mom both lucked out and found dresses. I really like mine. It's dark blue, with this silvery glittery kind of lace stuff over, and straps. And it fits. And in bad news (or good, depending on how you look at it), I no longer fit into a size 3/4. I had to get the dress in 5/6 because I couldn't zip up the back. Mom got this kind deep yellow/gold dress, after I had to argue with her that she's a bit plumper than she likes to admit she is.
>_>;; She was trying to fit into a size 7/8. For the record, I wear my jeans at size 7. Yeah.
Because I had to run around the store fetching dresses for my mom (and then bigger sizes of the same dresses), I kinda got fainty again. Ran out of the house without eating, and I HAD meant to eat before serious shopping, but we saw the store before the food court and... well. You can figure it out. I made it to the register with our dresses, but the saleslady was ringing up other people first and my mom was fiddling about with finding a matching shawl, and so I just walked out of the store to sit down. And put my head down. And breathe. Also bought an orange juice from the little cafe stand thingy that was right outside the dress store (lucky!).
After that, we went straight to the food court. See, I can learn. I demolished most of my food from Panda Express, too. God, I love orange chicken. ♥ After the food, there was a suit store nearby (lucky!), so we went in and had to shove my dad into the store, too. I talked to the saleslady in the store, asking for more formal suits, and dad settled with a really sharp black one. Me and mom also pressured him into getting this really nice vest set (came with vest, bow tie, regular tie, and handkerchief for suit pocket) that was in the perfect shade of ivory and gold with a nice design. The Trecenians theme color is gold and ivory this year. He also got two new shirts, and cufflinks, and the store also did tailoring, so that the suit and vest could be taken in some.
HA.
We had to browbeat him, but me and mom made sure dad would look good (and not be embarassing).
After that, we headed to the Icing, which is a subdivision of Claire's, because I was looking for the hairthingies I couldn't find the last time I went out shopping. I found them (buy one get one, one half off!), but we also bought earrings to go with the dresses (buy two get one free!), and I got this nice collar-type necklace. It is so pretty and made of Austrian crystals (shiny shiny!). We also stopped at a shoe store and picked up heels (augh), which I am probably going to kill myself in. But they were on sale! How was I to resist?!
I even stopped at the Godiva, but didn't buy anything. Maybe next time.
Aaaah... I think my shopping urge has been appeased. At least a little bit. ^^
