What happened yesterday...
... after I ate and had soda. ♥ Because such things are necessary for my health and well-being and crap like that.
I had to pick up my mom from work, since I had the SUV. But she wanted to be picked up at 2pm, since she went to work early specifically because I was gonna have the SUV and go to the lunch meeting, etc. Anyway, since it was already 11am when I got the rescheduling call, I didn't really have time for a nice nap before I had to leave. So I lounged about online for a few hours, then left the house early so I could swing by McDonald's for lunch. Chicken nuggets are comfort foor, for serious. ♥ And, yes, dammit, I drive while eating, but at least I don't talk on my cellphone and drive, and it wasn't like a burger or something.
Picked up my mom (and scarfed down the fries, too), and we ran a couple of bank-ish errands. Also went to Best Buy, where I got the OK Go CD. It is most excellent! It was $13.99, but when I went to pay, it rang up for only $7.99! ♥ ♥ I was very happy. We also checked out some software for the home comp, since we need Microsoft Office, and mom wanted to get desktop publishing-type software for making her menus and thingies. We priced them, just to comparison shop. After Best Buy and the bank(s), we dropped by the BX on Base for a bit. We found a special "military-appreciation" edition of Office for only $59.95. (!!!) The regular Office is like... $300 or something, so we snatched that up right quick, as well as PrintMaster Platinum (which has templates to make iPod skins w00t). I also got chocolate.
So. Yesterday didn't suck as much as I thought it would. I managed to de-stress some, though I'm still totally nervous about tomorrow. And, apparently, I'm sounding more and more like a Valley Girl as time goes on. Like. How horrible. I need to remember not to do that tomorrow.
