So I finally finished Kingdom Hearts: Re:coded. I feel so accomplished.

^_______________________^

Though, note that I said finished and not completed, because there's a bajillion quests and trophies I still need to get for total completion and I'm not sure I want to finish 100%.

But I do want to get at least 20 trophies, so I can unlock the secret ending that leads up to Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Even if I know what happens in the secret ending anyway. >_>;; Hush. I want to unlock it.

BUT OMG. RE:CODED YOU AND I NEED TO HAVE SOME WORDS. CAPSLOCKY RAGE KIND OF WORDS.

Okay. Kingdom Hearts game. For the DS, no less. And based off what I've seen in Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, you know what, I'm used to it. I know that we're pretty much going to be playing KH1 all over again, or at least some shorter version of it.

BUT OH MY GOD. I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS.

Listen, I will happily admit that I have never played KH1 and KH2. And that makes me sad, because the people who did are probably suffering in more agony than I am from having to play basically THE SAME DAMN GAME over and over. But this. THIS.

THIS GAME.

This game takes it to ridiculous levels.

So you're playing the main storyline with Data-Sora and, ta-dah! It's basically KH1, but with no gummi ships. Totally expected. Sure, even I'm getting tired of seeing the same places over and over and doing the same things over and over, but the Bug Blocks and stuff was interesting and fun. And I totally enjoyed how every world had a different gameplay mechanic for the boss levels, or even the whole world in Olympus Coliseum.

Destiny Islands was the basic KH gameplay. Traverse Town turned into a 2D Mario-esque beat-'em up game. Wonderland was an on-rails shooter. And Olympus Coliseum was like an old school turn-based RPG, which I thought was particularly fun and hilarious because Cloud becomes one of your party members. Agrabah was... well, Agrabah was annoying. Then again, I always hate Agrabah for some reason, even though I love the Aladdin movies. Hollow Bastion was back to KH gameplay, but it's okay because I was like WHOO LAST WORLD. TIEM FOR BOSSFIGHT.

I was so, so wrong.

I should've read ahead on the walkthrough. =__=;;

So yeah, fought the possessed Riku, and dammit he's such a command spamming bitch. I got positively raped by Dark Aura, but managed to pull through.

AND THEN.

Hollow Bastion Part II.

Riku's data is corrupted and Sora has to fix him! Sure, what the hell. I'm already halfway through the game. What's one more world?

What's that? You're taking away all my powers? And I have to get them back?

What... all my powers are in copies of the worlds I've already visited?

YOU MEAN I HAVE TO PLAY THOSE WORLDS except the Coliseum AGAIN?!

Fine, you fuckers. I did it. And then I was like YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. BOSSFIGHT AGAINST SORA'S HEARTLESS WHICH IS A GIANT DARKSIDE ... AND SORA'S ANTIFORM... AND THEN THREE OF THOSE GODDAMN KEYBLADE THROWING ANTIFORMS... AND THEN... Sora's tiny Shadow Heartless, which was amusing.

So this is the end, right?

OF COURSE NOT.

THIS.

IS.

SQUEENIX.

But wait! Everything ended, didn't it? Data-Sora was reset! What is this new world that suddenly showed up? Oh, fuck you, Castle Oblivion. Fine, I'll go and... what. What?

I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PREVIOUS WORLDS AGAIN. NO WAIT I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THEM 3 TIMES EACH TO GET ALL THE CARDS AND GET SUPER ITEMS AND FULL COMPLETION?!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Then I got to fight Roxas. Which was fun. But it didn't make up for having to do the KH1 worlds all those multiple times.

... though being an ass to everyone in Castle Oblivion made it more tolerable and earned me cards.
