Title: We're Definitely NOT in Kansas, Dean. Part 2 of ?
Pairing: None. At least, not as far as I can see coming up. Characters in play right now are Sam and Dean Winchester, everyone else should be a surprise, though I do warn it's a multiverse crossover.
Rating: Umm... Let's say 14+ for language.
Disclaimer: This part had guest-character-voice beta done by
meredevachon and
ailurophile6. All other errors are my own; I own nothing though I do wish I did. Heartily.
Warning: Spoilers through Devil's Trap, eventually. Spoilers up to Dead Man's Blood in this part.

Dean bit his lip. "I guess you're right. Maybe we should mingle, see if we can get any more information out of people. Stick to the interior edges, keep a wall to your back, and if you need anything or find out anything, come find me. We'll meet back at the bar in an hour."
*
Dean took the right, and Sam the left. Working his way through the throng at the bar, Sam found a quiet table not too far off. He gazed out at the crowd. Nothing really stood out at first. People were mixing, hanging out like they would at any other bar on a tropical beach. Then a... guy... walked past him, getting a seat at an adjacent booth. Sam just stared for a moment. The guy looked normal... except for the symbol in the middle of his forehead. Taking a deep breath, Sam got up and moved over to the booth.
"Mind if I join you for a minute?"
"By all means." The man gestured across the table to the other bench. "A new face. Is this your first visit here?"
Sam slid into the booth. "Yeah, it is. And... I was... Everyone else seems to be partying, but I'm kind of lost here. I don't even know where here is." Sam folded his hands on the tabletop.
"This place is called the Cabana Club; it is what you make of it. I am Teal'c. I have visited this place on many occasions. I find it restful."
"I'm Sam. Sam Winchester." He extended his hand for a brief shake. "Restful? It seems a little lively for that, if you ask me."
"As I said, it is what you make of it. It soothes my spirit. People here are so carefree, unworried. Being able to forget one's troubles and indulge in abandon can sharpen one's mind in readiness for battle elsewhere."
"Blow off steam. I get it." Sam nodded, then looked at his hands. "Just... I don't remember a whole lot. I don't know where we are, how we got here. The people I've talked to keep telling me to just relax and enjoy myself, but I don't see how I can without knowing those things."
"You are a warrior at heart, Sam Winchester. Knowing where you are is very important when waging war. But this is not a battlefield."
"Can I ask you something more personal? Where are you from?"
Hints of a smile graced Teal'c's lips. "I am from a different planet, the planet Chulak. I am Jaffa, human. I was raised to be in service to Apophis, a Goa'uld, ruler of my homeworld. The Goa'uld enslaved us, made us worship them as gods. I escaped and returned to this planet with the Tau'ri, my human allies of this world, to fight the Goa'uld. Although your reality may not be my reality. Such is the nature of this place. It is indeed possible that we may not exist in your reality, nor you in ours."
Sam was speechless. His mouth worked for a minute before seeming to give up and move on. "So this place is like... an interdimensional rest stop? With hot girls and coconut drinks?"
"In my experience, yes."
"This is... weird."
"It may take some time to become accustomed to this place. But remember this, Sam Winchester. This place is what you make of it. If you are unhappy here, you may leave at any time."
"I'll... keep that in mind. Thanks... I have to find my brother. I'll..." Shaking his head, Sam stood up and slowly walked towards the bar.
