The best thing I can suggest this late is some chocolate if you have some, a good book you already like just read a chapter that always make you smile or get you hot and bother (this way you get to think of something else).
You can also write (a bit like a journal) what happened, what brought up this sadness and find out if there is a trigger in creating these moments... Could be the food, the drinks, the lack of sunshine, etc...
Put Abba and shake it on Dancing Queen... or anything that makes you enjoy beeing silly and yourself with no witnesses.
Write how you feel and make a to do list on how to remedy to any of the situation/elements that make you currently sad (also keep in mind that giving of yourself or presents to other people put a lot in perspective, maybe you'd want to write a poem for a member of your family, give a single flower to a good friend, etc...)
I hope this help and pick reaper on her offer, she doens't sleep at night, I think... :)

i did a little of both: I have a book called Chocolate for the Teen's soul that my sister got for me so i read a couple stories from it.
I also watched an episode of a good show--a happy episode that I knew would be great with lots of laughing.
