HOTEL REGISTRATION IS HERE!
Finally!
But before you make your reservation, here's a few things you need to know (PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THIS PART! KASSIE WILL CRY, and possibly throw her tiara at you):
- Online reservations only serve those wishing to book a Double Queen room at this time. If you need a King, call it in. (This should be fixed shortly.) ETA: KING ROOM situation is fixed online and by phone! So go forth, loners or those looking for a threesome on con weekend and book your kingly rooms!
- Be clear with any special requests you have. If you have any special needs physically or otherwise, please also email them to us. We have a designated special needs advocate on the con committee in the shape of the lovely sparkymonster. She will be with you up until and during the con to make sure everyone is having an equally awesome time. This does not mean that she's in charge of making your accommodations, however. This just means that should any problems arise, she'll be there with you on behalf of the con to give any advice or answer questions and to make sure your needs are met.
- The special con rate of $109 is only good for 4 nights - the two nights of the con (17-18) and the nights before and after (16, 19.) If you plan on coming even earlier or staying even later, you'll have to make a separate reservation for those dates.
- Please, be honest about how many people are staying in your hotel room when making your reservation. This won't change the rate (unless you're requesting roll-away beds) and it is necessary so the front desk knows how many breakfast vouchers to give you when you arrive. The hotel is including your breakfast in the room rental so we the con committee are not in charge of getting you your vouchers, the hotel is. Not listed = no breakfast!
- Be nice to any employee you come into contact with at the hotel - online, on the phone, or in person. These folks are going to work extra hard to make sure we have a blast, and it's a harder job than you might think. So it's okay to be insistent about something, but never okay to be rude.

Two ways to make your reservation:

Select your dates (within the time frame mentioned above) in the right corner and click 'go.' On the next page, under your dates, enter the word 'WRITER' in the box next to the prompt 'Group/Convention Code:' under Special Accounts to get the right rate.
2. Phone it in by calling 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667).
The hotel is the Baltimore BWI Hilton by the airport, not the other Balitmore Hilton that's downtown somewhere. The group code is 'WRITER.' Tell them that to get the special rate.
If you have a problem making your reservation online or on the phone, just email us with what the issue is and we will call the hotel as soon as we can to get it resolved.
A couple more things:
Registration is still open, and there are still plenty of tickets left. Our cap is 250 and when/if we get close to that, we'll give you a warning. Right now there is no cut off date to register, but there will be eventually - probably some time in August - unless we sell all the tickets before then.
All necessary info pertaining to attending the con can be found in the winchestercon profile - including a link (later on tonight) of the list of this year's attendees (lj names only.) If your name isn't on it and you think it should be, email us and we'll figure out what the problem is. This list will be updated every 10 days or so, so be patient if you don't see your name right away.
