Broken Virgin
I'm wondering whether any of you are perverted enough to have got this far without having a fairly good guess at what the subject line's really about.
I got home to find my BBC1 service had disappeared again. Instead I'd got a message telling me that I wasn't subscribed to this channel. Which is a bit of a suprise. If it keeps happening, I should phone Virgin and quote 1010.
So I did. One automated voice system later, I was told there's an outage in OX4. If this didn't answer my question I could hold for an advisor. So, I held on, and an advisor duly appeared. Quite quickly actually. So that's better than the old NTL horror stories. It turns out that the OX4 fault is also affecting OX3. But they hadn't updated the phone message to reflect that. Or their web page...
Apparently, it's due back by 11.30 tonight. I don't think the advisor really picked up on how I was rather unimpressed by this. I did, just about, manage to avoid saying "Ooh, this never used to happen when I was with NTL".
I also managed to avoid saying "Oh well, I'll just go and watch those episodes of Lost and Gray's Anatomy that I downloaded then..."
