Haven't done one of these in a while, so.
Relationship meme for Crowley! Aaand more of a "first impression" meme for Zoe. And if you want to know what Dot thinks of you, that's good too.
Reverse relationship memes are always appreciated.
(Oh, hush, I happen to adore this icon.)

Okay. So. For reasons that are probably obvious, Abel pings Crowley in a decidedly Aziraphale way. That's not to say that Crowley views Abel AS Aziraphale or an Aziraphale substitute, just that very frequently abel reminds him of Az. I think he knows this and acknowledges it, but it's not the sort of thing he'd bring up to anyone, just because it'd never come up in conversation. And it's rather awkward.
Abel's martyr streak frustrates the hell out of him, because Crowley views it as being kind of pointless, you know? It's pointless to be all mopey and stupidly selfless in situations where another approach would be smarter. He doesn't view it as being particularly effective, and regards it as eye-rollingly self indulgent and selfish, but the obnoxious kind of selfish, not the acceptable kind of selfish.
Crowley likes to keep the ground between Abel and himself even. He doesn't like feeling like he owes Abel anything, which was why he did the thing that he did with Ticky. In his mind, that evened up the scales between them. He maintains that Shigure shouldn't have found out, because shigure wasn't even brought up more than tangentially when Crowley went to talk to Ticky. It was All About Abel. So he's a bit angry -- annoyed, really -- because in his mind, Abel should have known better than to send Shigure to talk to him.
What Abel doesn't know, and what Crowley will never, ever, ever say out loud, is that Abel can make him feel guilty in a way only Aziraphale can manage. And the thing with Crowley and guilt is that he'll say he doesn't experience it, but there's this little nagging twinge and it's ANNOYING and mygod what is it going to take to make the nagging twinge go AWAY? So basically, Abel's one of the very, very few people whose opinion matters a lick to Crowley.
Right now he... does feel kind of bad about dropping Abel like he did -- without any warning. He probably should have given abel some sort of warning, but he was feeling a bit spiteful at the time. He's not entirely pleased with his actions, but he did it, and he's not going to dwell on it overmuch.
The thread in which he apologized for switching off Abel, Crowley was very... wooden. He wasn't doing it because it was the Right Thing To Do, but more because he was determined to be mature and take his medicine, when he knew full well that he'd fucked up. He didn't feel at all... submissive to Abel, but more that they were equals, and he was showing Abel the respect he'd show someone he considered his equal.
However, after the incident itself, he felt very... cast out, as if Abel had taken Shigure's side. And that just GETS HIM, because he'd been worried (my word, not his) about Abel. And no one is going to convince Crowley that Ticky wasn't going to try to find some way to shut Abel down AFTER their fight was said and done. So he's very much in a "no good bad deed goes unpunished" kind of place.
As a result, he's very close to just embracing apathy (or the appearance of it) and brushing Abel off. Kind of in a "shed the skin, discard it, move on" kind of way.
