Post a list of your top five favorite vids you've made, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. this isn't about the BEST things you've made, but what you LOVE most. then tag five other people to do the same.
I won't link to each separate vid, because that's lengthy and time consuming and I am lazy, instead, you all get the handy dandy link to my fanvid page. All of my vids can be found here and, if you're looking for it in general, it's up the top of my journal page under the "Jacqui's Fanvids" link.
- "Disarm": PROFILER (Jack/Samantha). This is, I think, the third video I ever made. I love it because it's the video I'd had in my head since the mid 90s, since I first started watching Profiler and never knew how fanvids were made. Once I did learn, I knew I was going to make it and, as early as this was in my vidding career, I really do love how it turned out. Would I do things differently now? Yes, of course I would. Watching this (like watching any early vid) I see all the mistakes that I could change and fix and make better, but I still love it. And, as always, dedicated to my friend in all things skewed, empty_marrow.
- "The Girl of My Dreams is Giving Me Nightmares": FIREFLY (River/Jayne). It's funny, because I'm not a River/Jayne 'shipper at all, I have many issues with this pairing and was practically strongarmed into making this, but even so. I love this vid, because I think it was the first time I really played with editing choices and styles. I vidded to the music, not just the lyrics, which really made a difference. It really is a fun vid and I think you can see that, it is certainly one of the most favoured among viewers. In all Firefly vids, I would have guessed my Kaylee vid (the first I *ever* made) or the Jaylee vid (mmmmm) would be my favourite, but no.
- "Tale As Old As Time": VERONICA MARS S1-2 (Logan/Veronica, ensemble). Oh, this vid was so much fun to make. I don't think I've ever laughed and giggled so much while making *any* fan created thing, be it fic, vid or whatever. Seriously. It has so many thematically great moments that I'm proud of. I love Duncan as Gaston, and Beaver as Chip, and Logan as the Beast. It's a bit sappy (ohhh, lookit Keith and Veronica), a lot humorous (heee, Duncan is a doof), characteristically fun (Veronica makes a great Belle and nobody plays the Beast like Logan), and romantically sweet (awww, Logan/Veronica). There's quite a few niggling errors that I would love to fix, but still a nice watch.
- "Eat It": VERONICA MARS S1-2 (mixed cast ensemble). Crack vid to beat all crack vids. People eating. I still love this. Who else boasts a vid with Vinnie, Cliff, Kevin Smith, Mr Woo, Hannah, the streaking Tritons, Alicia, Aaron, Rebecca James, et al? Nobody, that's who. *PLUS* Rob Thomas saw it and liked it!!! *squees pathetically like a tragic fangirl*
- "You Oughtta Know": VERONICA MARS S1-2 (Logan/Veronica, Duncan/Veronica). Those boys, they done her wrong and she's letting them know. Second in my trilogy of videos exploring the three characters and how they worked within the little triangle they created. This one from Veronica's POV. I just really like the finished product, editing wise and character wise.
