Part XII: At least I'll be fit by the end.

Sep 10, 2010 19:23

I've just had my first full week of school. This included English Language, Classics, Biology, and, yes, Latin.

Everything looks as if it'll be fine for half term. The most hectic day will undoubtedly be Thursday, as I've got two Latin lessons then (but not a double), and whatever the week, there's a clash. (With English in Week A and Classics in Week B, incidentally.) There's another clash with Classics every other Tuesday, which is...irritating, but I've somehow managed to convince Boyten that I'm some sort of hard-working supergenius. God knows how. I would have thought the ridiculous impression of myself would convince him otherwise.

ANYWAY. Everything seems fine, except for the walking. Dear God, the walking. I slightly overestimated the time it would take the second time I walked there. I decided it would take thirty minutes. It took ten. Oh, dear. I ended up walking up and down the road in front of John Fisher for twenty minutes, and as for Thursday? My legs are still aching. It's currently Friday evening. Yeah.

So. I need to wait for half term, but it looks promising. And now: I squee!

We're doing Ovid. We're doing Ovid. Metamorphoses by Ovid, to be precise, which is an awesome poem. Ovid is a wonderful, wonderful poet, and I wish he were alive today so I could write him creepy fanletters. Not that I couldn't do that now, but there's pretty much no chance he'll see them.

On Monday, we shall be beginning Latin composition, so I can't do a full squee!post yet. That'll come in the Epilogue, I imagine, unless I really don't like composition. Which is unlikely. :P

ETA: Composition is <333. Good. Hoped it would be.

END (until half term, derp)
