iced tea in a Guinness glass
Okay, so i poured maple syrup all over my shirts just now and that was totally not cool, but it got me thinking. I'm sure that most of you have read or seen the movie, The Princes Bride. Well the way my life story is working out at the moment reminded me somewhat of this tale, and the syrup reminded me of the torture scene, but that's not the point. The point is, i view my life as an adventure and for some reason there are similarities between mine own life and that of the dread pirate Roberts. For one he falls in love with a beautiful girl, only to be separated and doomed to endure a life of personal goals with no other to share them with... that is until one day he makes his goal to find his true love. i my self, have not reached this point but lets just imagine here, okay? Good, well let's continue along now. It seems very odd to think of this story and recall that the characters name is not really the dread pirate Roberts, but rather a simple farm boy named Wesley. Wesley is the name which Anne wishes to name one of her children. Interesting i thought to myself (i actually thought it was pretty neat'o).
Okay okay, so in the end the two end up together and happy, with adventure behind them and true love to hold between each other for the rest of their lives. Yes yes, very sappy, but who said I was not one for a happy ending. Anyways, i just really liked this idea and i'm going to rent that movie so i can watch it again. Maybe Anne would like to watch it with me, but we'll have to see, exams you know.
Things might not work the way i wish them to, but i can always dream and hopefully that dream makes itself reality, or i could just enjoy what I have and eat my pancakes with ham and maple syrup and do laundry. Ya that works.
