“The Queen has dark-coal eyes.”
Teddy can’t quite suppress an amused chuckle as a long finger brushes against his closed eyelids but Goldie bites his earlobe with gentle teasing, her only warning to keep him still. He really should know better than to laugh at her tales.
“She looks past skin, bones, and raw flesh into the depth of the soul. Finds time there. Sorrow. Destiny.”
Goldie draws a fine line over the bridge of Teddy’s nose down to his still smiling, half-open lips
“Her kisses taste salty. Like her subjects’. Her breath makes the sea ripple with need.”
Teddy moans as Goldie whispers her visionary fairytale, her breath ghosting over the sensitive skin just under his ear.
“Ships moan under her caress.”

“Her skin cuts and bruises those who dare to touch. She owns hearts she has no use for.”
Her palm comes to rest on his chest. A warm, soft pressure on a warm, steady beat.
“And she has no heart of her own to mourn the lives she takes.”
“Don’t…”
Her lips stifle whatever he was going to say. She’s not exploring, not teasing, not comforting. She’s simply shutting him up. Her hand slides lower and he moans against her as she wraps her fingers around him.
“But her perilous maelstrom renders men powerless to say no,” she whispers against his lips as her experienced fingers push him closer to the edge. “You have no wish to resist.&rdquo
