The Enterprise should be a hybrid vehicle

I am here to state my demand that Paramount, J.J. Abrams, Orci and Kurtzman do the right thing by heavily promoting the fact that the new Enterprise, classification NCC-1701 of the Star Fleet, be promoted and represented as a hybrid vehicle.
For years, Hollywood has respected its viewers by showing smoking only in a negative light. Now, at the dawn of a new age of environmental awareness that could literally either save or destroy all humanity, it is crucial that the "next generation" of sci-fi fans understand that there will be no spaceships in the future if global warming is not stopped.
With hybrid cars already becoming common in some parts of the world--in 2007!--is there any reasonable argument to be made that spaceships hundreds of years in the future will not employ alternative fuel technologies?
Answer: none!
In fact, I would guess they'll have even better alternative fuels then, so they should advertise that fact!
It's my belief that this petition will be ignored! Big Oil is far too powerful an advertiser for the Star Trek producers to anger. This is a serious opportunity to grab people. Gene Roddenberry was an amazing visionary who wanted to portray a future society of peace and harmony, but that won't happen while we allow Earth to die a slow death by carbon extraction!
When you think of the classic enemies of Star Trek's world, you think of Klingons, Romulans, Gorn, Q, the Borg, Cardassians, and so many more. But I'm here to tell you that the real enemies standing in the way of progress, peace, and social stability...not to mention starships and phaser guns...are the following:
