I daresay this has gone too far. Our roommate is intent on making our lives difficult (she can never possibly make them miserable), for reasons unknown, my guess being jealousy and Jim's guess being fetal alcohol syndrome. It started when she took our cupcake tin. Okay. We get it back. She takes it again and changes the locks on her door. Why the landlords do this for her is beyond me since she is not paying her rent. Alright. Then she shows her intent to move out by clearing her crap out of the kitchen. In the process, she helps herself to our cookie sheet, hand soap, and a couple of plates. At this point, we're both pretty pissed and so Jim bitches her out. It was a lot more than I expected him to, but still just insults, intended to make her cry but not actually hurt her in any way. This morning, a cop shows up at our door and hands us the papers from her complaint of "assault," which claims that Jim used threatening body language when he stood up and balled up his fist while telling her she was a "piece of shit." Okay.. If telling someone how you feel about them and being passionate in the process was an actual crime, everybody I know would be fined 500 bucks every time they broke up with someone. This is ridiculous, and it has gone too far. This bitch is the only criminal living in this apartment, seeing how she is stealing from us and living here illegally as of Wednesday. I hope Jim can talk her out of pursuing her ridiculous complaint, but I also hope he doesn't stoop so low as to apologize to her.
