James pulls into Rosie's driveway, and makes his way towards the front door. He has a pair of pink roses in one hand. A swift knock at her door.

"Coming!"

Rosie straightened her necklace quickly, then checked to make sure everything she'd need was in her purse. Satisfied, she slid on her shoes and tied them carefully.

She walks to the door and opens it, smiling.

He smiles at her, holding out the two roses for her to take. "For you. You look lovely this evening."

"Thank you." She takes the roses, then hugs him. "I love roses."

He hugs her back. "I'm glad. I'm never sure."

"I have a feeling you do a good job of guessing. Would you like to come in? I should put them in water before I go..." She steps back so he can come in.

With a wink, she heads down the hall to the kitchen. "No regrets, I hope, about taking the new job?"

He smiles at her. "None at all."

She fills a vase with water, and there's an odd crunching sound as she smashes a baby aspirin and adds it to the water. "That's good. You're starting on Monday, yes?"

He nods, watching her. "Yes. Though, I am apparently to take a tour of the grounds tomorrow."

"Oh? It's probably a good idea. Arkham's one of those crazy old mansions...it's very easy to get lost there." She wipes dry the sides and bottom of the vase and places it on the counter, then trims the stems of the roses before adding them to the water.

"Yes. I saw it while driving through town. Very...impressive." He straightens up a bit. "Ready to go?"

He smiles back, and gestures for her to lead the way out.

She takes his hand and heads out, grabbing her purse on the way. "So, where are we going?"

He thinks a moment. "I'm new in town, as you know, but I did see a nice little restaurant about ten minutes from here."
