Stuff what I am up to.
So, the last thing I ever posted on LJ was a link to the first episode of The Shay and Wilson Show. I'm sure there's plenty to update since then if I can remember any of it.
As far as the show goes, as of right now, we have 62 subscribers, 96 videos, and 14,671 video views. Hardly a drop in the pond by Youtube standards, but we're still pretty shocked to be doing this well. At the beginning of the year I set the goal to be up to 100 subscribers by the end of the year, and at the present rate, we should blow past that, maybe even by the 6 month mark. Which would in fact put us at about a year since we started the whole thing. We get most of our views through all of the gameplay videos, and really most of them come from Shay's hentai game videos. Still, the talk show stuff is what we like doing the most, hopefully we can get more and more interest in those. It looks like we're going to be switching over to video episodes soon, so that we can entice more viewers with raw sex appeal. It's a cheap tactic, but we're addicted to the fame now and we can't stop.
Really though, this is all because of the friends of ours who are doing all of the street team work for us and really sharing the show around. Shay and I horrible for promoting our show, and horrible at making it, and horrible at keeping any sort of schedule. So thank you everyone for endorsing us at the expense of everyone's confidence in your recommendations for years to come.
Aside from the show, I've got something like 5 or 6 solo songs that I'll hopefully eventually get out in a completed form. I've thrown a few teasers out there and people have acted excited, so I should really get down to business on those. Also, Shay and I have been brainstorming and collaborating on stuff for a video game soundtrack. They'll be awesome on a game or they'll be awesome on their own, either way I think we're making killer stuff. I say "We", but really I still need to get down to recording most of my contributions.
As far as non-computer related stuff goes, I have tickets to go visit home in September, and I'll be there just shy of 3 weeks. Travelling is stupid expensive, but I am looking forward to going. I haven't seen most of the family over there for something like 9 years, and it will be the first time they'll meet Jess. Plus I have nine years of food cravings to satisfy, so I expect I'll be getting down to some gluttony on an unprecedented scale. I'm in training to be all that I can be during the trip. I want the horrified survivors to pass the story down to their grandchildren.
I think that's most of the interesting stuff I have to update on. Everything else is just everyday life being everyday life-like. Take care everyone!
