We are planning on having a good friend marry us. He is a very recently ordained minister in the Universal Life Church, but is not a rabbi or other traditional clergy member. A few people have expressed confusion or amazement that we can be married by someone who is not a rabbi.
I'm thinking that at the end of the wedding, we should have a rabbi friend approach the chuppah, wave a glitter wand, do jazz-hands and say, "I pronounce you married!"
