A dream for the future

I led an extremely ambitious (and very successful!) family education program this Sunday for K/1 families.  The theme was "Joseph and the Colors of Me."  There were 7 colored stations, each connected to a part of Joseph's life and containing an activity to help children and families to know themselves.

The Yellow Table was connected to Joseph's dreams.  For that station, parents were given a page of questions to ask their children about the future.  Most parents took their interview sheet home with them, but a precious few left the sheets lying around in the social hall.

From these gleanings, here are some wonderful results.

Q: What is your dream for yourself?  Imagine yourself as a  grown-up.
A: I can imagine myself being a great soccer player, and I won the championship award thing.
A: Having Maya as my sister.

Q: Where do you live?  What does your home look like?
A: Log cabin and live close to my parents.
A: Virginia.  Outside--gray bricks.  Inside--lots of shelves to put things on.
A: In a place like this - Jewish place.
A: In a castle with diamonds on it.
A: Triangle and square.

Q: Who is in your family when you are grown up?
A: Guinea pigs, rabbits, 10 kids, a husband who likes hockey.
