I was listening to the news on CBC2 today. The anouncer played a clip from the BBC broadcast. The guy was freaking out about freezing temperatures, cars stopped everywhere, blowing snow. It basically sounded like England was experiencing the next ice age and there was mass panic. Then the Canadian guy came back on, and while barely containing his laughter, proceeded to inform us that it was in fact a terrifying -10 in Britain, and they had about 20cm of snow in two days. He then lost complete control of his laughter and I with him. I doubt the Brits would share in our mirth. It is crazy though, like Florence is covered in snow. That's weird. It just all sounds a bit ridiculous from a Canadian perspective. I'll pull out my spring jacket when it hits -10.
