hahaha my paternal grandmother spent half her life living on ubin; but had to evict because of orders. she keeps telling us stories about how the place is "dirty" (haunted) because of the number of children who had gone missing, and of the people who died at devil's bend.

anyways she knows like a lot of the people there, especially when we go back during qingming. she knows the owners of the meerebus/meesiam/drinks store immediately left of the harbour, and the owner of the seafood restaurant. everytime go there got discount :D

!!!!!! should've told us so that we'd get discounts too :/ & yes the place is actually very very creepy if you don't go in a group / in bright daylight!

yeah, the village headman says, apparently like during the 7th month, every morning they will find it in a different location from where they left it the night before, and it cannot be removed cos otherwise bad things will happen or something?

HAHA yes he doesn't really speak though, his malay friend was talking and talking and was vv friendly :D
