wtf not cool
Ok, so it's just about 1am on a Saturday night and I get a phone call from unfamiliar number. I pick it up and some middle-aged guy says "um, uh, I wasn't expecting such a cute female voice - is this Mark's number?" and so I say no and I ask him how he got my number. Evidently it's in his phone. Under my name. And I have no idea who he is (he gave me his name and it was completely unfamiliar). And he has no idea who I am. Also, it was a 270 areacode - Kentucky?? I don't know anyone from Kentucky! I guess I know a couple of people who are vaguely related to things from Kentucky (someone from a music festival years ago who I haven't talked to since, a former professor that I occasionally keep up with but he definitely would not have my phone number, a nearly-graduated grad student from here but maybe that was Oklahoma??). I am creeped out. Any suggestions or possible explanations?
