Woo, my yarn came in today and one of the balls in a near perfect match! Backstory - I started knitting this sweater like about a year ago, knitting furiously for less than a week at a time, and then leaving to sit untouched for three months. It's a solid color sweater, in a shade called lagoon made by Rowan yarns (it's one of their cotton glaces). I bought one more ball than the pattern said I needed, and I've still run out, with only less than half a sleeve to finish, as well as sewing up and putting in the neckband. I stopped working on the sweater in like July, and only recently looked into getting another ball of yarn to work with. Of course they don't have any of that color left at the store where I got it, and the color has been discontinued by Rowan. I tried buying a couple of balls online, and it turned out that they only had two balls left, each of a different dye lot and looking rather different. Luckily, one of the balls is a great match to the dye lot that I've made the rest of the sweater in, so it looks like I'm finally going to get this damn thing finished! Hooray!
