You know how sometimes you'll see something that will make a damn great gift, and then you're like, "damn! I just want that for me!" - two CDs and one book containing all 68,647 cartoons ever published in the New Yorker for only sixty bucks. I want want want it. But it would make the perfect gift for my mom!! I had a similar experience when I was walking around Princeton (the town) with Maddy (yay Maddy came and visited Maddy I love you!!) and saw "the complete gelation shot kit" in the window of some store. What an awesome gift, and one I would love to receive. The coolest gifts are the things that you kind of want to get for yourself, but don't. (and no, don't go out and get me that New Yorker cartoon book because I'll probably just get it for myself anyway :-p)
I think there was actual real stuff I wanted to say in this post, but now I've forgotten it...
Oh yeah! Today was the first meeting of the beginners' bridge class and it's going to be so much fun. :-) The guy teaching it is really cool, especially since he strikes me as just the kind of awesome person who would come out of IMSA. Dammit, I'm going to learn bridge and it's going to kick ass! (Oh, and Aris, I remembered the thing I wanted to tell you - they're working on Lindy lessons for Tuesday nights!)
