The game of life

Well the stage is set, the pieces in place, and the game about to begin
Only I've seen this board before, all too familiar pieces, and the players,
some new, some old, some familiar, some not, but all together now.
I've defiinitely been here before, tried my hand at this particular game,
tried to come out with something to show for it, but lost.

Well this game has started, the first moves have been made.
things seem to be going well, I think I've got a decent hand,
The second move comes around, everybody goes, then its my turn.
Made my move, a risky move, probably more risk than I would normally make.
Problem with risky moves though.... they tend to be unstable.

So here comes round three, and I'm at a loss, unsure of what to do.
I've given away my position, possibly scared away my coplayers.
Now the aggrevation moves in as I sit and watch the moves made,
I can't do a thing until my turn comes up, and its torture watching, waiting.

I hope I didn't make the wrong move, I hope more than anything,
because I've been here before, I've made a move before,
and it ended up doing me in, finished me off, took me out of the game.
I just hope this game can be forgiving, because otherwise I may have lost already.
And I'm pretty sure this prize is definitely worth fighting for.
