Remember 9/11

Two years ago today, an attack on our great country by a terrorist group took place. This attack killed over 3000 people in the World Trade Center and forever changed the skyline of New York City. For those of you from NYC, LI, and the surrounding area, I don't think I need to say anything. For those of you who may not have felt such a personal loss that day, I implore you to simply remember that day as a tragedy, but also as a day of rebirth, where the United States of America finally united as one people, instead of the segregist society in practice today. Support those fighting to end the senseless violence and hatred in the middle east and disrupt terrorist regimes permanantly. Every one of our troops belongs to the same group as each of us, we are all Americans. As were the 3000+ victims of the 9/11 attacks. To this day my heart fills with hate of those who participate in this senseless psuedo-religious violence when I remember the glory those towers represented. At the same time my heart fills with sadness that it took such an event for us to realize that we cannot ignore the hell created in the middle east. It is my deepest hope that somehow, someway, somebody will figure out how to stop these kinds of actions, although I regrettfully don't think it can be done, at least not in my lifetime, there is too much hate there to soothe in one generation. However, I am elated at the thought that where the towers once stood, will stand even greater towers, a great symbol of unity and pride among Americans. We will not falter, we will not fail, we stand together.
