Ok, the first day of jury duty wasn't that bad, a lot of sitting around, but not that bad. I can't talk about anything more than that...but I can tell you how I got the bumper sticker before jury duty began.
I arrived in downtown Seattle about a half hour early (I wanted to make sure I found a decent parking spot not too far away from the courthouse, kinda a sketchy neighborhood). I had some time to kill and knew that the Bank of America tower had a Starbucks so...perfect...I started hoofing it to the tower, up a hill.
I was just about kitty-corner to the tower marching up a hill with my backpack of reading material slung to my back, purse in hand, planner in the other hand, when my foot caught a crack in the sidewalk and SPLAT...Coyer was Seattle road kill. I was sprawled out on the ground, both knees bleeding, the top of both feet bleeding and my pinky knuckle also red with blood. Perfect.
I picked myself up off the concrete, snorted in frustration, brushed myself off and went into the BOA tower looking for a bathroom to clean myself up.
I still hurt, but it's more of my ego that hurts than anything.
