Now for some quoting cause iz can never resist.
“What was your father’s plan?” Jack asks. “Lay low on the river for a couple of days and wait for the manhunt to die down?”
Noah sighs. “I guess,” he concedes. “He and Jimmy were monitoring the news.”
“Your father killed two prison guards,” Jack says. “Did he really think we would stop looking for him -- or for you?”
Noah looks down at his hands. “The news never said anything about me.”
“Dammit,” Jack mutters. He leans back in his chair and rubs his eyes tiredly. “We decided not to release your information. We thought if you hadn’t found your father...well, trust me, it made sense at the time.”
Noah shrugs. “It’s okay.”
“No, it’s not.” Holden grabs a chair, pulls it closer, and sits. “Noah, did you really think we weren’t looking for you?”
Noah shrugs again, not meeting Holden’s eyes.
Holden struggles to control his anger. “Listen to me. You are the one who decided to go off on some crazy suicide mission. When we found your truck, we thought you were dead. Do you have any idea what that did to the people who care about you? What it did to Luke?”
Noah flinches. “I didn’t want Luke-” He breaks off, biting his lip. “I wanted to find my father and I didn’t want anyone to try to stop me,” he says carefully. “That’s why I got rid of the truck, in case the cops were looking for it.”
Your Noah is so broken he still doesn't get it, that people love him and were scared for his safety. The list of people that care is huge, hope he realizes it soon.
That car scene between HoJaNo (see what I just did there) Was written so well I swear those three just spell out love for me and can't wait till Luke enters the picture and by the way where the hell is Luke?
Great chapter, can't wait for more. Sorry for the ramble..
P.S. love that you warned at the beginning, but the only needed warning required was great drama stright ahead.

I love love love Holden and Noah scenes - we had so few on the show that I always like to write them.
Don't worry - the many people who love Noah will be taking turns tromping into his hospital room to yell at him, so I hope he gets the message that he is cared for.
Will that include Luke? Hmmmmm....stay tuned.
